About This Racket
Sondico is a famous and respected football brand but relatively unknown in tennis. However this racket is surprisingly good, solid, stable, good grip and great strings. This was at the very cheap end of the market with a price around £10 in 1980 with bright blue and white and original strings and logo. Surprising that this brand is almost totally unknown. Sondico rackets include the Hornet / Triumph / Sabre / Red Eagle
Sondico Sabre was prices at £11 in 1978

About Sondico
Sondico was originally founded as a sport accessories manufacturer by Mr Sondi in India. The company relocated to Oldham near Manchester where it produced quality football equipment. Whereas previously goalkeepers played bare handed or wearing simple gloves, the Sondico goalkeeping gloves offered increased protection and improved grip. Sondico branched out into Squash and Tennis in the early 80s and struggled to make an impact. They were considered a budget brand and didnt sell well out of the UK. However some of their products are surprisingly good like this Sabre. The poly strings are really good, but are they original? I am not sure. I found
