About This Racket
ProKennex, established in 1978 by founder Lo Kunnan initially produced wooden badminton rackets in Taiwan before venturing into tennis and squash, introducing the one of the very first mid-size graphite tennis rackets in 1980 and graphite squash rackets in 1983. The company made a claimed a breakthrough in racket technology with the launch of the KINETIC in 1994, a shock-reducing layup.
The 1984 Golden Ace was one of the original and best of the Wood Aces which also included the Red Ace and Blue Ace. It came with either a Graphite Face or Boron Face and was superb quality. Indeed having played with the Golden Ace I would hand on heart say it is one of the best wooden rackets of all time! The Golden ace was prices at £63 in 1986
