About This Racket

ProKennex, established in 1978 by founder Lo Kunnan initially produced wooden badminton rackets in Taiwan before venturing into tennis and squash, introducing the one of the very first mid-size graphite tennis rackets in 1980 and graphite squash rackets in 1983. The company made a claimed a breakthrough in racket technology with the launch of the KINETIC in 1994, a shock-reducing layup.

The 1984 Golden Ace was one of the original and best of the Wood Aces which also included the rarer Red Ace and this Blue Ace. This Blue Ace is in perfect condition, with cover, likely never used. It came with a Graphite Face was superb quality. Indeed having played with the Golden Ace I would hand on heart say it is one of the best wooden rackets of all time! They went on to make a series of graphite Aces including the following:

Boron Ace–100% graphite
Black Ace–100% graphite
Silver Ace–80% graphite, 20% Fiberglass
Bronze Ace–60% graphite, 40% Fiberglass
Copper Ace–40% graphite, 60% fiberglass
